Poquoson Seafood Festival Workboat Races are held at Messick Point.
In 2022, the races returned and remain one of the most prestigious Workboat Races in the Hampton Roads area. As always, the races were conducted on Poquoson’s Back River with Chesapeake Bay Dead Rise Boats and other working craft. Spectators and captains enjoyed this annual salute to the Working Watermen of the Chesapeake Bay.
