About the Festival

 

The Poquoson Seafood Festival which began as a small celebration of the Poquoson

Waterfront Community featured an art show at a local marina over 30 years ago.

Today the festival is a large annual event in the City of Poquoson. The festival draws

nearly 50,000 people over the three days it is held. The Festival is a dedicated to preserving

the heritage of the Chesapeake Bay Working Waterman.

 

The Festival is enjoyed by both residents and visitors from a wide geographic area. The festival features over 150 arts and crafts vendors, nearly 25 seafood Food Vendors, and a variety of commercial vendors throughout. There is a wide variety of seafood for every palate, and entertainment scheduled throughout the  weekend.
